If you visited the Options dialog under Tools menu to view or change the settings, you would have observed Project has a button labeled “Set as Default”.
What is the purpose of this button?
As per Project help,
Set as Default The general options are all local settings, and apply only to the active project. If you want to make these settings the global default for all new projects, click the Set as Default button.
By default, the settings will be saved in the active Project. If you want the settings to be saved to the active Project and should be applied to all new projects, hit the Set as Default button.
